Over 900 Miles on a Unicycle!

1000 mile project

1000-Mile Project

Today I CRUSHED the 900-mile barrier on my 36-inch Gold Goose Unicycle at Best Friend Park! Although I logged only 3.5 miles, it was enough to put me over the top at 902.1 miles . . . on the last stretch to the 1000-mile mark!

May 28th, I logged 5.1 miles in the same park to put me closer… feels a bit weird, but I’ll be done with my goal about a month early!  Thoughts now go to my next goal – I plan to keep riding, but will be going for some other causes…

Happy Memorial Day! I wish I could say that to my Navy-veteran Dad who died in 1990.  If alive, he would be 90 years old in November.  Here he is (right) at age 4 in south Georgia with my Grandaddy (who died a few years after this picture was made),  Grandma Marion, and Aunt Hilda, circa 1925.

We all have family.  Don’t forget to cherish yours while you can!
