Unicycle Ride for Charity: More Miles and a Layoff

Unicycle Ride for Charity

Unicycle Ride for Charity

I’m now in that “Limbo Stage” of my project – I’ve completed the 1000 miles before my August 1st deadline, but don’t want to just sit idly resting on my laurels either… So, after a week’s rest from riding, I took the Gold Goose over to Best Friend Park and pumped out 3.9 miles. Total mileage to date is 1012.5.

Although I felt good getting the legs rolling again, I also noticed more than the usual fatigue and sweat afterwards.  This was probably due to the fact that, after my return home,  a severe summer rainstorm set in!

Brigitte (Soma)The evening was spent with friends celebrating my wife Brigitte’s job layoff after 14 years!  She’s home now, and on a cleaning binge and generally enjoying life until its time for the next phase.
