I’m Tired!!

Did I Hit the Wall, or What?

I finally hit the wall . . .

Since I started this project – riding 1000 miles on a unicycle for the Himalayan orphans in Nepal for the on August 1st, 2010 – I’ve either hit or far exceeded my monthly goals.  For the fist time, it’s not going to happen . . . in November I’m on a pace to log far LESS than my MINIMAL goal of 85 miles.  After lolly-gagging around the park for 1.9 miles today, for example, my monthly total is only 44.4 miles.

To meet my minimum goal, I would have to ride 5.8 miles a day – including Thanksgiving.  I could even do that, but you know what?  I’m just freaking TIRED!!!

For the past several days I’ve had a chance to ride my unicycle, but didn’t take it.  I don’t even have any good excuses.  The weather, for the most part, has been warm and clear!

I think I’m going to treat my inner child to a small break and accept the fact that he doesn’t want to work so hard all the time.  Weather and family permitting, I will be able to make up the lost miles in December.   Ho Ho Ho!
